We’re partnering with a well-respected property management company in Madison to bring on an Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily community. What You’ll Be Responsible For

Leasing & Resident Experience

  • Support leasing efforts including tours, applications, and lease preparation

  • Provide a high level of customer service to both current and prospective residents

  • Assist with resident communications and help resolve questions or concerns in a timely, professional manner

  • Contribute to a positive, well-maintained community environment

Property Operations & Administration

  • Maintain organized resident files, lease documentation, and property records

  • Support day-to-day operations to keep the property running smoothly

  • Assist with internal processes and ensure adherence to company policies

Compliance Support (Section 42 / LIHTC)

  • Assist with documentation and file management related to affordable housing requirements

  • Support income certifications and recertifications (training provided)

  • Help ensure files remain accurate and audit-ready

Financial & Operational Coordination

  • Assist with rent collection, payment processing, and tracking balances

  • Work closely with the Property Manager and maintenance team to coordinate work orders and property needs

  • Help support occupancy and retention goals


What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in property management, leasing, administration, or customer service is preferred but not required

  • Exposure to Section 42 / LIHTC is a plus, but willingness to learn is just as important

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and stay on top of competing priorities

  • Strong communication skills and a professional, resident-focused approach

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general office systems
