Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Wellness & Service-Based Business
Location: Madison, WI
Compensation: base + bonuses + tip-sharing
Target OTE: $75,000–$100,000+

With continued expansion in the Madison market, the team is seeking an Assistant General Manager who is eager to take ownership, drive performance, and grow into a General Manager role.

Position Overview
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends sales, operations, and team development. The position is designed to give increasing responsibility based on performance, with a clear path to full operational leadership.
You will partner closely with ownership to drive revenue, lead the team, and deliver an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of clinical and front-of-house staff
Build a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing team development
Create and manage staff schedules to support efficient operations
Sales & Revenue Growth
Convert inquiries into active clients and members
Drive membership growth through consultative selling
Track and manage key performance metrics including conversion, retention, and revenue
Coach team members to meet individual and team sales goals
Operations Management
Oversee daily front- and back-of-house operations
Maintain a clean, safe, and high-quality environment
Manage retail and operational inventory
Coordinate vendor relationships and facility needs
Optimize scheduling and client flow
Client Experience
Deliver exceptional service and resolve client concerns professionally
Maintain high client satisfaction and retention
Support membership management and communication
Business & Administrative Functions
Monitor labor efficiency and operational performance
Assist with reporting, deposits, and reconciliations
Support goal setting and performance tracking
Provide regular updates to ownership
Growth & Community Engagement
Support local marketing initiatives and events
Contribute ideas to improve operations and drive business growth
Qualifications
3+ years of management experience in retail, hospitality, spa, or similar environment preferred
Strong sales mindset with B2C experience
Proven ability to lead teams and drive measurable results
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable using CRM systems, POS platforms, and scheduling tools
Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
