Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Madison, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 1:30 PM – 9:30 PM
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and production operations on the overnight shift. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment while helping ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
This opportunity is ideal for technicians who enjoy hands-on mechanical work, problem solving, and continuing to build their technical expertise in a highly skilled manufacturing setting.
Compensation & Pay Structure
$3,500 Sign-On Bonus

Half paid upon start

Half paid after 6 months of employment
Base Pay: $28.09 – $29.34 per hour
Shift Premium: $2.00 per hour

Course Pay

$0.50 per hour increase for each completed class

11 technical courses available
Graduation Pay

$1.75 per hour increase after completing the 5 required courses
Tenure Pay

$0.75 per hour increase for each year of service (up to 3 years)

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Diagnose equipment issues and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime

Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals

Support production teams by responding to equipment issues in a timely manner

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Follow all safety procedures and maintain organized work areas

Assist with equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications

Previous experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or mechanical repair

Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Experience reading schematics, prints, or equipment manuals

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
