We are seeking a motivated individual with a hands-on approach to lead the Fabrication business unit. This is a high-level Operations management position often involving complex work assignments of broad scope. Experience within a lean operation and driving lean initiatives from concept to reality is required.

You will lead a team of Supervisors, Engineers, and Technicians who support day-to-day operations to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost of fabricated parts across multiple product lines. The position leads people, manages assets, and works cross-functionally to solve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate competencies in teamwork, action orientation, creativity, customer focus, technical skills, planning, priority setting, and problem solving. Strong supervisory and management capabilities are essential, including building effective teams, decision quality, developing direct reports, managing and measuring work, clear communication, and organizational agility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10–12 supervisors, engineers, and technicians by identifying, prioritizing, and executing initiatives to meet business goals

  • Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure the right capabilities and capacity are in place to meet fabrication goals

  • Identify operational waste, teach others to recognize it, and prioritize improvement initiatives to maximize impact

  • Identify and address performance gaps relative to key metrics

  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to perform data analytics and determine root causes

  • Lead cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions, determine highest value actions, and implement improvements

  • Prioritize business needs and organize cross-functional resources to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance

Qualifications

Education

Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree or higher

Experience

Required:

  • Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to establish, measure, report on, and own Key Performance Indicators

  • 5–10 years of experience in an operations lead supervisor or engineering role (Quality, Reliability, Test, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.)

  • 3–5 years of effective leadership and supervision of mid-level managers

  • Professional, positive, and collaborative demeanor

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of lean manufacturing experience, including supporting or leading meaningful lean initiatives

  • Cross-functional leadership experience

  • Design of experiments

  • Root cause analysis

  • Strong computer and analytical skills
