Maintenance Technician

Location: Madison, WI
Pay: $25-$29 per hour (based on experience)

Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced and reliable Property Maintenance Technician to join our team in Madison. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys troubleshooting, and can handle a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across residential and/or commercial properties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from tenants and management

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance issues

• Maintain exterior areas including snow removal, groundskeeping, and basic landscaping as needed

• Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or large projects

• Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in property, facilities, or building maintenance

• Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

• HVAC or other trade certifications a plus

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday

• Occasional on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
