Maintenance Technician / Mechanic 
Direct Hire | $29–$43 per hour

Job Summary

A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic to ensure equipment reliability and support production operations in a safe and team-focused environment. Level of hire (Technician vs. Mechanic) will be determined based on education and experience.

3rd Shift: Approximately 9:30 PM – 5:30 AM (Sunday–Thursday) 


Responsibilities

  • Maintain assembly line and fabrication equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems using schematics, prints, and PLC

  • Perform routine preventative and predictive maintenance on plant equipment

  • Document completed work accurately in the CMMS

  • Use 5-Why analysis to determine root cause of equipment issues and implement corrective actions

  • Complete work in compliance with all safety standards

  • Look up and order parts as needed

  • Communicate effectively via phone, instant messaging, email, and in person

  • Operate equipment such as forklift and man lift

  • Train employees on procedures and maintenance techniques

  • Maintain housekeeping and organized workstations

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Applicants must pass a maintenance entrance exam.

This position requires a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and background check following a conditional offer. A negative result is required for employment. Testing is conducted in accordance with federal and state laws.


Qualifications

Required

  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment

  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and use PLC for troubleshooting

  • Experience with CMMS systems

  • Proficiency with hand tools and maintenance machinery

  • Proficient in Lockout Tagout and Hazard Communication standards

  • Ability to operate forklift and man lift

  • Strong computer and numerical skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Ability to adhere to strict attendance standards

  • Willingness to complete required training

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical movements including bending, climbing, twisting, reaching, and standing for extended periods

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Preferred

  • Experience with 5-Why root cause analysis
