We’re partnering with a growing property management company in Madison to hire a Property Manager for a newer affordable housing community. What You’ll Be Responsible For

Property Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee the daily operations of a Section 42 (LIHTC) community

  • Ensure compliance with LIHTC regulations, Fair Housing laws, and state requirements

  • Manage income certifications, recertifications, and compliance documentation

  • Maintain audit-ready files and support agency inspections and audits

Leasing & Resident Experience

  • Manage leasing activity including tours, applications, move-ins, and renewals

  • Serve as the main point of contact for residents and handle concerns with professionalism and urgency

  • Create a positive, community-focused living environment that drives retention

Financial Management

  • Oversee rent collection and delinquency management

  • Assist with budgeting, reporting, and tracking property performance

  • Prepare reports for ownership and compliance partners

Team Leadership

  • Supervise on-site staff and coordinate with maintenance and vendors

  • Ensure work orders and property needs are handled efficiently

  • Help maintain a strong, accountable, and team-oriented culture


What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of property management experience

  • Required: Section 42 / LIHTC compliance experience

  • Strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong communication and resident-facing skills

  • Experience with property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, etc.)
