About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing property management company in the Chicago area to hire an Assistant Property Manager for a residential community. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with residents, staying organized, and being involved in the day-to-day operations of a property.

The ideal candidate is customer service focused, detail oriented, and able to balance administrative responsibilities with resident interaction. Previous property management or leasing experience is preferred, but individuals with strong customer service and administrative backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of the property
Support resident relations and provide excellent customer service
Assist with leasing activities including tours, applications, and move-ins/move-outs
Answer resident questions and help resolve concerns in a professional manner
Assist with rent collection, notices, and resident communication
Maintain organized resident files and property records
Coordinate with maintenance staff regarding work orders and resident needs
Help ensure the property is maintained to company and community standards
Support occupancy and retention goals through positive resident experiences

Qualifications

Previous property management, leasing, administrative, or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Professional and positive attitude
Comfortable working on-site and interacting with residents daily
Experience with affordable housing or LIHTC is a plus but not required
Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems
