Maintenance Technician 

Location: Door County, Wisconsin
Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week
Pay Range: $24–$25 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support an affordable housing community in Door County, WI. This role is responsible for ensuring the property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained while delivering responsive service to residents.

This position requires approximately 35 hours per week and offers consistent, steady work within a mission-driven housing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general unit turns

• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and work orders

• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including painting, repairs, and cleaning coordination

• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize long-term repair costs

• Maintain building systems and common areas to ensure safety and compliance

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed

• Assist with inspections and ensure property meets local, state, and affordable housing compliance standards

• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required; multi-family or affordable housing experience preferred

• Strong working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and general repairs

• HVAC certification or EPA certification preferred (not required)

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
